Correct make up application for your face shape

Your face shape will affect how you apply make up as you might want to enhance or diminish certain features.

Oval face shape - this is seen as the perfect face shape as its neither to wide nor to long and is in proportion. You wouldn't need any corrects to the face shape but you could use a highlighter/shader to enhance your natural features.

Long face shape - As the face is longer rather than wider, the idea is to rebalance the face by reducing the length and increasing the width. This can be achieved by applying shader at the forehead and chin  and highlighter at the sides of the face.

Square face shape - The jawline is prominent and the widest parts of the face are the temples and jaw. To rebalance this face shape, apply shader to the widest parts of the face. Avoid highlighter.

Heart shaped face - This shape has a wider forehead than jawline, to rebalance, apply shader at the temples to reduce the width and highlighter along the jawline to increase the width of the jawline.

Round face shape - This face shape can appear slightly wider. To rebalance and give the appearance of a longer face apply highlighter down the forehead to the nose and shader to the sides of the face.

Diamond face shape - This face shape is unite angular so to rebalance the shape apple shader to the forehead and chintz reduce the length. To diminish any angles, apply shader to the centre point at the sides of the face. You could also add highlighter above and beneath these centre points at the sides of the face to creat width where the face is at its most narrow.
